A specialist SEMH school in Reading is looking to appoint a Behaviour Mentor to work closely with students who require additional behavioural and pastoral support. This is a full-time, long-term position offering invaluable experience for those considering careers in education, youth work, psychology, or social care.
You will support pupils who may display challenging behaviour linked to Autism, ADHD, trauma, anxiety, or unmet social-emotional needs.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will act as a positive role model, helping students develop self-regulation skills, resilience, and positive coping strategies.
Key Details:
- Role: Behaviour Mentor Location: Reading Salary: £89-£100 per day Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-Time Ideal for: Psychology, Criminology, Education, or Youth Work Graduates
Your responsibilities will include: Providing targeted 1:1 behavioural support Supporting students during lessons to maintain engagement Implementing behaviour support plans De-escalating challenging situations calmly and professionally Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
