Job Description

We're working with a friendly primary school in Iron Actonthat's looking for a confident and caring Behaviour Mentor to support pupils who need a little extra help to thrive in school.

You'll work with children on a one-to one basis and in small group interventions, helping them build confidence, develop positive behaviours, and get the most from their learning. You'll work closely with teachers and the wider school team to create a calm, supportive environment where every child has the chance to succeed.

What we're looking for:
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils to reach their potential
  • Experience in schools, alternative provisions, youth work, care, coaching or mentoring is welcomed
The role includes:
  • Delivering small group behaviour and emotional wellbeing interventions
  • Supporting pupils to stay engaged in learning
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Working alongside teachers and SEND staff to provide consistent support
  • Building positive relationships with pupils and their families where appropriate

All pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
