BEHAVIOUR MENTOR - ALTERNATIVE PROVISION
Location: East Lancashire (Blackburn, Burnley, Accrington, & Surrounding Areas)
Start Date: September
Pay Rate: £110 - £130 per day (PAYE)
Contract Type: Temporary with a view to Permanent

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a forward-thinking Alternative Provision (AP) in East Lancashire this September 2026.
If you have a background in youth work, sports coaching, residential care, or challenging behaviour support, this is your chance to step into a rewarding role where you can make an immediate, lasting impact.

- Providing 1-to-1 and small group mentoring to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Using positive behaviour management and de-escalation techniques to maintain a calm, safe learning space.
- Building trusting relationships to mentor students through personal and academic barriers.
- Collaborating with teaching staff and pastoral leads to track student progress.
- Proven experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour, SEMH, or working within an AP/SEN setting.
- High emotional resilience, patience, and exceptional communication skills.
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to process a new one via PAYE).
