Responsibilities

Job Purpose

This role provides Derivatives Sales and Trading experience within a dynamic Global Metals Trading business. The Sales Trader is a hybrid role, serving as the execution point for both Corporate and Institutional clients. Responsibilities include providing liquidity, generating ideas, delivering cross-product solutions, and offering market intelligence. The goal is to learn about commission generation, liquidity sourcing, and to serve as a conduit for customers into the Base Metals market, working closely with Analytical, Trading, and Sales teams on the LME desk to facilitate daily operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage trade capture for all Base Metals and ensure risk/booking accuracy.
  • Assist in monitoring the Risk platform and troubleshoot trading/non-trading issues.
  • Support administrative processes and uphold governance and controls.
  • Provide risk management hedging solutions (futures and options) in the Base Metals market.
  • Promote StoneX's execution capabilities, contribute to team strategy, and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Develop new client relationships, strengthen existing ones, and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Assess risk/reward of transactions, demonstrating sound judgment to protect the firm's reputation.
Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you will need:

  • A-Levels in Mathematics.
  • Experience in physicals or derivatives, preferably in Base/Precious Metals, is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of commodity derivatives (futures, options, swaps, etc.).
  • A driven, entrepreneurial, and commercial mindset focused on profitability.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Python.
  • Excellent numeracy skills.
