Job Description

Nine-month maternity cover opportunity at a leading investment bank in the City. The client is seeking a Banking/Finance Lawyer to join their growing legal function. This is a hybrid working model, with 2-3 days per week spent in the office.

Whilst applications from all levels will be considered on merit, the client believes that the role would require a qualified lawyer with at least 6 years' PQE. It is essential that you have worked in-house previously. The preference is for a candidate with experience in funds finance, but individuals with more general transactional banking and corporate lending experience. Any LMA style documentation would be helpful (less so capital markets/derivatives work).

On a day to day basis, the role supports two teams - one handling NAV work and the other dealing with subscription finance facilities. Both teams are considered market leading within the banking industry. You will be involved in the full lifecycle of transactions, from term sheets and advising on the structuring of transactions to commitment letters, etc. Once deals have been signed, you will work closely with the front office to manage the portfolios.

The bank also provides a wide range of products across the funds and insurance industries, and there will be opportunities to get involved in a large volume of these bilateral transactions.

(Please note that the daily rate range listed in this advert is via an umbrella company.)

Robert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates.
