A leading international law firm is seeking an ambitious Banking & Finance Associate (2-5 PQE) to join its growing team in Glasgow or Edinburgh.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad range of high-quality finance matters, including corporate lending and real estate finance, acting for a diverse client base of lenders and borrowers. Clients include major banks, insurers, debt funds, and high-profile corporates across Scotland, the UK, and internationally.
The team advises on a wide variety of domestic and cross-border transactions and offers exposure to complex, high-value deals alongside colleagues across multiple offices and jurisdictions.
The Opportunity- Work on a varied banking and finance caseload, including corporate lending and real estate finance
- Advise a broad range of lenders and borrowers on sophisticated financing transactions
- Gain exposure to cross-border matters and international clients
- Collaborate with highly regarded partners and colleagues across multiple offices
- Take an active role in business development, networking, and client relationship management
- Access strong internal training, precedents, and knowledge resources to support career progression
- 2-5 years' PQE in banking & finance (Scots and/or English law experience considered)
- Strong private practice experience across a range of general banking transactions
- Solid understanding of corporate banking law
- Strong drafting, communication, and organisational skills
- A commercial mindset with an interest in market trends and developments
- Confident building and maintaining client relationships
- Motivated, adaptable, and keen to contribute to business development initiatives
