BANK - Patient Environmental Action Team (PEAT) Member

Band 2 AFC - Bank

The post holder will be able to work individually and as part of a team to perform deep cleans across wards and departments in the trust. You will be part of a reactive service contributing to maintaining a hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness are met.

Main duties of the job
  1. Perform deep clean duties in all parts of the Trust as required.

The post holder will be able to work individually and as part of a team to perform deep cleans across wards and departments in the trust. You will be part of a reactive service contributing to maintaining a hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness are met.

The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt maintains a register of Temporary Workers "The Bank." Joining the Trust's Bank does not constitute a contract of employment. The Trust will notify bank members when a suitable assignment arises, and members can choose whether to accept it. The bank worker is under no obligation to accept an offer of an assignment.

Job responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Perform deep clean duties in all parts of the Trust as required.
  2. Carry the emergency pager and respond independently when activated.
  3. Cover sickness and holidays of staff, including weekends and nights as needed.
  4. Clean air conditioning vents and grills regularly.
  5. Work without supervision on minor works.
  6. Prioritize work on essential patient equipment impacting patient care.
  7. Communicate effectively with staff and clients at all levels.
  8. Prioritize changing workloads and address work requests proactively in coordination with supervisors.
  9. Understand and comment on maintenance policies.
  10. Maintain and repair health service property and equipment.
  11. Assist other trades as required.
Person Specification Qualifications/Training
  • English and Maths GCSE A-C or equivalent
Experience
  • Experience working in a hospital environment
Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to work independently once competent
  • Ability to work at height using ladders/scaffolds
  • Assist all trades

  • Problem-solving skills and flexibility

Knowledge
