Purpose of the roleTo provide a comprehensive and responsive multi-skilled maintenance service across all the Trust's properties, whilst specialising and leading in the delivery of quality plumbing services. Sites include in-patient and non-inpatient environments. The postholder shall be expected to lead complex plumbing diagnoses and repairs across the Trust's plant and equipment, and advise the Trust on any issues or risks with this equipment.
Main duties of the jobWhilst the postholder shall be fully qualified in plumbing services, they will also be competent in all elements of delivering a multi-skilled service, including minor electrical and joinery services, and support the delivery of a quality estates function. The postholder, as expert for plumbing services, shall support new apprentices and T-level students as they join the services with on-the-job training, guidance and shadowing.

To work using own initiative to complete projects as assigned.
- To work closely with the other Estates Services Technician's and wider Estates team in the South to take ownership of the sites and provide a robust and quality in-house specialist estates service.
- To respond to both reactive and planned works.
- To diagnose and carry out complex works and reduce the requirement for external contractors.
- Interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications to instruct and advise others.
- To liaise and provide technical advice to all estates operatives and contractors to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
- To lead and co-ordinate small works on site as assigned.
