The Housekeeping Department are looking to recruit two Domestic Assistants to join their team.
The post holder will be responsible for cleaning clinical wards/departments.
Maintaining cleanliness within St Richard's Hospital in Chichester
Working hoursFlexible hours, bank contract - as when available
Work as a team member with a flexible approach within the Facilities Department, to provide a comprehensive service to the Hospital, undertaking all cleaning whilst adhering to all Health and Safety, ensuring all areas of allocated cleaning are kept to a high standard, and any other duties deemed within the grading of the post.

Main duties of the job- Cleaning clinical departments to National Cleaning Standards 2021, with training provided.
- Maintain the confidentiality of information about patients, staff and other health service business in accordance with Trust Policy.
- To aid Hospital staff, visitors and patients, following Trust policies and procedures.
- Guide and direct visitors and deal with them in a helpful and friendly manner.
- Ability to communicate sensitive information using tact and diplomacy when dealing with deceased family and friends.
- Actively participate in any departmental Information Technology initiative.
Please note: This role does not meet the minimum criteria for visa sponsorship under the current UK immigration rules, which set specific salary and skill thresholds. As such, we are unable to provide sponsorship for this post. Applicants will therefore need to already have the right to work in the UK to be considered.

Skills and Experience- Ability to understand verbal and written communication and demonstrate good command of spoken English.
- Previous experience in a front line service; experience in customer service awareness.
- Experience in a healthcare environment.
- Evidence of having championed diversity in previous roles (as appropriate to role).
- Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues.
