Remote Consultation by Advanced Practitioners has helped ensure patients receive the right care at the right time and place, through signposting to partner organisations, referral to community pathways, face-to-face assessment by an ambulance colleague, or self-care advice by phone or video link. It has reduced hospital admissions from 999 calls and provides an extra layer of patient safety for deteriorating patients requiring urgent ambulance attendance.
