We are seeking an experienced Band 8c Mammographer to join a highly regarded imaging team in Hertfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to work in a dynamic and patient-focused environment, performing high-quality mammography scans. The role requires an advanced level of expertise, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of imaging services.
Responsibilities:
As a Mammographer, you will be responsible for conducting screening and diagnostic mammograms, ensuring high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis. You will work closely with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams, providing expert technical and clinical support. Additional responsibilities include quality assurance, staff training, service development, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations and best practices. You will also play a key role in patient care, offering reassurance and support throughout the imaging process.
Requirements:
- BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
- HCPC registration (Health and Care Professions Council).
- Postgraduate qualification in Mammography (e.g., PGCert in Mammography).
- Extensive experience in screening and symptomatic mammography.
- Strong understanding of breast imaging techniques and protocols.
- Previous experience in leadership or senior mammography roles.
- Excellent communication, team management, and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
