Band 8a Lead Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialist - Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust

An exciting opportunity for an experienced senior nurse with a Haematology background to join the Cancer and Clinical Support Division. The Lead Haematology Nurse will directly line manage a team while role modeling high standards of clinical practice and ensuring patients receive high quality care across the Haematology Cancer pathway.
Main Duties of the Job- Provide patient care for myeloproliferative diseases and other haematological conditions, including chronic lymphocytic leukaemia and acute myeloid leukaemia.
- Lead and develop nursing practice for patients and colleagues within the haematology department.
- Line manage the haematology CNS team, including a support worker, and manage performance, education and development.
- Provide expert advice and support for all patients with haematological conditions.
- Improve standards of care and promote a seamless service within the multi professional framework.
- Engage in clinical practice, management, education, research, audit and professional activities in line with NICE guidelines and organisational objectives.
- Contribute to the development of haematological services across the trust, including nurse led services and the personalised care agenda.
- Adult Registered Nurse
- Extensive post registration experience in haematology, oncology, or palliative care.
- Leadership and management experience.
