We are seeking an enthusiastic, capable and values driven Talent Development Manager to join our newly established Talent Management, Leadership and Learning service. This is an exciting career progression opportunity for a highly skilled Band 6 who is ready to step into a Band 7 role and apply their talent development expertise at a senior level.

This new post sits at the heart of our People and Culture strategy and offers the opportunity to move beyond single programme delivery. You will lead the design, coordination and delivery of a rich portfolio of inclusive talent development, CPD, coaching and mentoring programmes aligned to our organisation's purpose and its Careers Promise to staff.

Job Responsibilities

As a senior professional within the People and Culture Directorate you will work collaboratively across clinical, corporate and operational teams, acting as a trusted partner to managers and leaders. You will apply your experience of talent development, leadership or learning delivery in a wider context, helping to embed consistent and high quality approaches across the organisation. Inclusion, equity and belonging will be central to everything you do, translating inclusive talent principles into practical, operational solutions that address barriers to progression and support greater representation at senior levels.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Has built solid experience delivering talent, leadership or learning interventions.
  • Is confident managing programmes, stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Enjoys designing and developing practical, scalable learning solutions.
  • Is ready to grow their influence beyond a single service or portfolio.
Person Specification Education / Qualification
  • Degree qualified to CIPD Level 7 or equivalent.
  • Coaching qualification.
Experience / Knowledge
  • Significant experience in a senior role in the field of talent management, learning and development, including team leadership.
  • Experience of working effectively with internal and external stakeholder groups at all levels including senior leadership teams.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to demonstrate ROI & value added from talent management activity.
