Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00, 09:00-17:00, 10:30-18:30
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team in Brighton. This role involves working in a specialised clinical environment where you will be responsible for performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and quality of imaging results, which are essential for effective patient care and treatment planning.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures, including preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals.
- Operate imaging equipment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, and ensure their comfort and safety.
- Work closely with healthcare professionals to analyze and interpret imaging results.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to developing imaging protocols.
- Monitor patients for reactions to radiopharmaceuticals and follow safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure.
Qualifications and Experience:
- HCPC registration
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
- Certification by NMTCB or equivalent
- Previous clinical experience
- Familiarity with advanced imaging techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
