Job Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Radiographer to join the Outpatient Scanning Team in Irvine on an ongoing locum basis. This role offers the chance to work with state-of-the-art GE scanners, including Medrad pumps and the Soliton RIS system, delivering high-quality imaging services primarily for outpatients, with occasional ambulant inpatients. Ideal for experienced radiographers, this role allows you to enhance your skills while benefiting from the autonomy and flexibility of locum work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate GE scanners for outpatient imaging, ensuring accurate and high-quality diagnostic images

  • Perform contrast lists daily, requiring proficient cannulation skills to maintain patient safety and imaging standards

  • Collaborate with the outpatient scanning team to optimise workflow and ensure efficient patient care

  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records using the Soliton RIS system

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centred care, offering reassurance and guidance during scanning procedures

  • Adhere to professional, clinical and health & safety standards

Person SpecificationEssential

  • HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer

  • Experience performing outpatient imaging and contrast studies

  • Proficient in cannulation for contrast administration

  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

Desirable

  • Previous experience using GE scanners, Medrad pumps or Soliton RIS systems

  • Knowledge of NHS imaging protocols and quality standards
