We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join us in this part time position in our Cardiology research team at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust.
The Cardiology research portfolio ranges from observational studies to interventional clinical trials with a focus on acute interventions, novel therapies and clinical measurement-based studies.
This role in particular will support Cardiology research but you will need to be flexible to work in other related areas as demand arises.
We are inviting applications from nurses, AHP's and clinical research practitioners.
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months. We are happy to accept job shares / secondments.

Main duties of the jobThe job involves supporting all aspects of trial organisation from trial set up to completion as an integrated member of the clinical research team whilst also maintaining clinical skills such as venepuncture, blood sample processing, measuring blood pressure and recording 12 lead ECGs. The role includes direct patient contact.
We are looking for a highly motivated nurse / AHP / clinical research practitioner who prides themselves on their excellent planning, attention to detail and flexibility.
Previous research experience is desirable but not essential.

Person Specification Qualifications and Training- Registered Nurse and State Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council or Diploma / Degree in relevant area
- Good Clinical Practice Certification
- Demonstrates evidence of on-going personal development and the application of this to practice in relevant health care setting
- Demonstrates an awareness of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards and EU directive 2001
- Knowledge of clinical research practices
- Regular experience of taking charge and delegating duties
- Direct Experience in cardiology research
- Experience working on complex interventional research studies
- Experience working with cardiology patients
- Experience working in clinical research
