Band 6 Nurse / Paramedic - Virtual Ward (Remote Working)

Ongoing Agency Opportunity

We are currently recruiting Band 6 Registered Nurses or Paramedics to support an expanding Virtual Ward service, working fully remotely as part of a multidisciplinary team.

About the Role

As a Virtual Ward Clinician, you will play a key role in supporting patients with complex care needs and long-term conditions, helping them manage their health safely at home and avoid unnecessary hospital admissions.

This role involves:

• Managing inbound and outbound calls with patients
• Clinical assessment, decision-making and escalation where required
• Providing advice, monitoring symptoms and supporting self-management
• Working with wider community and acute teams to coordinate care

Working Pattern

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 20:00
• Out-of-hours cover will increase as the service becomes busier
• Minimum commitment: 25 hours per week
• Ongoing agency work with consistent shifts available

Pay Rates

• £21 - £30 per hour, depending on experience and role

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or Paramedic (HCPC)
• Experience working at Band 6 level (or equivalent)
• Strong clinical assessment and telephone/remote triage skills
• Experience with long-term conditions, complex care, or community/urgent care settings desirable
• Confident working autonomously in a remote environment
