Role overviewAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the Emergency Department Team in Guernsey. This locum position offers a 3-month block booking with flexible part-time or full-time hours and a highly competitive hourly rate.
You will work within a fast-paced emergency care environment, delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing care while developing your clinical skills in a supportive and dynamic team setting.

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within the Emergency Department.
Deliver safe, high-quality, evidence-based nursing interventions.
Work autonomously while recognising when escalation to senior staff is required.
Support and mentor newly appointed nursing staff where appropriate.
Promote health education for patients and their families.
Report incidents and participate in clinical governance and safety processes.
Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, relatives, and multidisciplinary teams.
Take charge of the ward or service area when required, maintaining high standards of practice.
Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives within the department.
Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
Previous experience working within an Emergency Department or acute setting.
Confident working in a fast-paced, high-pressure clinical environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
