What you will do
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within the Emergency Department.

  • Deliver safe, high-quality, evidence-based nursing interventions.

  • Work autonomously while recognising when escalation to senior staff is required.

  • Support and mentor newly appointed nursing staff where appropriate.

  • Promote health education for patients and their families.

  • Report incidents and participate in clinical governance and safety processes.

  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, relatives, and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Take charge of the ward or service area when required, maintaining high standards of practice.

  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives within the department.

About you
  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.

  • Previous experience working within an Emergency Department or acute setting.

  • Confident working in a fast-paced, high-pressure clinical environment.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
