Job Description

Honeycomb are delighted to be working with the Western Health and Social Care Trust to recruit a Part-time Band 3 Secretary. This position is temporary, initially for a period of 2 months. It is based in Derry/Londonderry and offers an immediate start.

  • Derry/Londonderry
  • Temporary contract- 2 months initially
  • Weekly pay and immediate start
  • Pay Rate- Band 3- £12.75 per hour
  • Part-time hours- 18.75 per week
Part-time hours breakdown

Wednesday- 1:15pm-5:00pm

Thursday- 9:00am- 5:00pm

Friday- 9:00am- 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to teams and professionals
  • Manage diaries, meetings, travel arrangements, and correspondence
  • Organise and maintain efficient filing and office systems
  • Prepare documents including letters, reports, minutes, and presentations
  • Handle telephone calls, enquiries, and communication within the department
  • Support the production of reports, policies, and PowerPoint presentations
  • Assist with office coordination tasks including mail handling and stationery management
  • Take accurate notes/minutes at meetings
Essential Criteria Qualifications & Experience

Applicants must meet one of the following:

  • 5 GCSEs (Grade A-C) including English and Maths plus 1 year's relevant secretarial experience
  • NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration (or equivalent/higher) plus 1 year's relevant experience

OR

  • 3 years' relevant secretarial experience

AND

  • At least 6 months' experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Relevant experience includes diary management, handling enquiries, word processing, meeting coordination, and minute taking.
