Your role
We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer with expertise in Python and Docker. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. This role involves working closely with multiple development teams to build efficient APIs, services, and infrastructure components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend services using Python and Go.
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance APIs and microservices.
- Work with Docker to containerize applications and streamline deployment processes.
- Optimize backend performance, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and other teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Implement logging, monitoring, and debugging solutions.
- Maintain and enhance backend documentation and coding standards.
Your profile
- Proven experience in backend development
- Expertise in Python and Go for building backend systems
- Strong understanding of containerization using Docker
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices
- Knowledge of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL databases)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
- Understanding of security best practices in backend development
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to support multiple development teams
- Fluency in English is required. Luxembourgish, French or German would be an asset
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
- Experience with Java or C++ is a huge plus
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for backend services
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth, JWT, etc.)
- Familiarity with testing frameworks for backend applications
