Azure Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer Remote

iO Associates is partnering with a Software Development Consultancy and is seeking a talented SC Cleared, Azure Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer to support their Customer, Internal, and Developer IT systems. This role plays a crucial part in handling infrastructure and cloud platforms, working closely with project and support teams. As a key player, you will be responsible for resolving Incidents and Major Incidents within agreed SLA's and collaborating with the Problem Manager(s) to identify and address root causes.

Role Summary:
Our client is seeking a talented Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer to support their Customer, Internal, and Developer IT systems. This role plays a crucial part in handling infrastructure and cloud platforms, working closely with project and support teams. As a key player, you will be responsible for resolving Incidents and Major Incidents within agreed SLA's and collaborating with the Problem Manager(s) to identify and address root causes.

What you'll do:

  • Resolve incidents and major incidents within SLA.
  • Investigate root causes and implement permanent fixes or workarounds.
  • Support enterprise IT services, ensuring availability, security, and integrity.
  • Collaborate with project teams to transition new services into support.
  • Maintain clear documentation and knowledge articles.
  • Liaise with internal teams and third-party providers.
  • Occasionally perform on-site tasks such as hardware swaps or patching.

What you'll bring:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, Entra ID).
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep).
  • Windows Server (2012 R2-2022), Active Directory (multi-forest/domain).
  • Office 365 setup and administration.
  • Virtualisation (VMware, Hyper V).
  • SAN and clustering technologies (Dell, HP).
  • Exposure to SQL troubleshooting and Microsoft System Center (SCOM).

This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a varied, hands on role, solving complex issues across diverse technologies.

This will be a remote first role with very occasional travel to London, Leeds or Bristol and will be paying up to £60,000 per annum with additional pay for being involved in an on call rota.
