Market rate - Inside IR35
Remote - Must be UK-based and eligible for Financial Services Vetting.

We are supporting a client from the financial services sector who is looking for a AWS Security Engineer with a strong background in implementing secure cloud environments. The ideal AWS Security Engineer to help deliver secure financial services solutions within AWS, ensuring alignment with internal standards and operational governance

Key Responsibilites:

• Embed and manage security controls across AWS environments.
• Collaborate with architecture and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
• Support IAM processes and integrate tools like Tenable for compliance and vulnerability scanning.
• Align AWS security with existing Azure frameworks and internal governance.

What We're Looking For:

• Hands-on experience with AWS-native security services (GuardDuty, SecurityHub, Amazon Detective).
• Solid IAM knowledge, including SSO and SailPoint integration.
• Proven ability to remediate high-risk findings and manage secure cloud operations.
• Experience working in regulated environments, ideally within financial services.
• Strong communicator with the ability to work independently and across teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years in cloud security engineering (AWS).
• AWS Certified Security - Speciality or similar.
