AWS Engineer

We're hiring an experienced AWS Engineer to support and enhance a cloud-native development environment in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.

This is a contract role, based 2-3 days per week onsite in Leuven (Belgium), offering a dynamic environment to work alongside platform engineers and developers shaping critical infrastructure using AWS technologies.

What You'll Do:

• Maintain and optimise a modern AWS-based development environment
• Collaborate with platform and software engineers across Back End (Java, Spring Boot, Lambda) and Front End workflows
• Drive improvements across AWS services like EKS, S3, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, API Gateway
• Support CI/CD with GitHub Actions and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Docker
• Troubleshoot environment and integration issues across the cloud ecosystem

Essential skills:

• Strong hands-on AWS experience
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Java Lambda
• Solid knowledge of EKS (Kubernetes) and Terraform
• Expertise in GitHub, GitHub Actions, and core AWS services (S3, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, API Gateway)
• Containerisation with Docker and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Nice-to-haves:

• Familiarity with CloudWatch, Kibana, or TypeScript
