Work Description:
Required for a one year contract in Turkey, a consultant with aviation design fireworthiness engineer, to advise the safety team, design team, system engineering team with responsibility for Fire and Hazard protection.
Working to MIL-HDBK-516C in the following:
- Active and passive protection methods used in air vehicle designs which includes ventilation, drainage, equipment qualification activities for passive methods and fire detecting and extinguishing activities for active protection methods.
- Fire Hazard Zone Definition
- Risk Management of Fireworthiness Issues
- Fire Isolation Properties
- Ventilation and Drainage Principles, Performance and Related Mitigation Means
- MIL STG 810 G Fire/Flammability
- MIL STG 810 G Explosive Atmosphere I and II procedure
- Other fireworthiness issues
In addition:
- Review and evaluation of the applicability of the related MIL HBDK 516 and JSSG 2009 requirements through design reviews with TA engineers.
- Support generation of compliance approach for MIL HBDK 516 C fire and hazard protection.
- Prepare reports for the certification studies done together with TA engineers (requirements, compliances etc.)
- Review and comment on the design and studies performed to meet critical fireworthiness requirements.
- Support generation of Fire and Explosion Particular Risk Analysis to comply with related military requirements MIL HBDK 516 C
- Support on material selection activities in terms of fire protection and toxicity.
