ADvTECH, Africa's leading private education provider, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher for the Foundation and Intermediate Phases to join its Evolve Online School team. As a Mathematics Teacher for the Foundation and Intermediate Phases, you will play a critical role in building the foundational knowledge of young learners and guiding them toward developing higher-order thinking skills. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and fostering an environment where students are inspired, motivated, and challenged to achieve their full potential.

This role demands creativity, strong organizational skills, and the ability to integrate digital learning tools into your teaching practice. You will also serve as a brand ambassador, upholding the values of ADvTECH and contributing positively to the broader learning community.

Academic Delivery

• Plan and deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons tailored to the Foundation and Intermediate Phases.
• Incorporate innovative, future focused teaching methodologies that engage and challenge students.
• Support students in developing critical thinking, problem solving, and independent learning skills.

Assessment & Reporting

• Conduct regular formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress.
• Maintain accurate records of academic performance and report outcomes to parents and guardians.
• Use assessment data to inform instructional strategies and identify areas for improvement.

Student Behaviour Management

• Establish and maintain a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Encourage respect, collaboration, and self motivation among students.
• Implement behaviour management strategies aligned with ADvTECH policies.

School Brand Ambassadorship

• Promote the values and vision of ADvTECH within the learning community.
• Engage positively with parents, guardians, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
• Represent the school professionally in all communications and interactions.

Administration & Compliance

• Maintain lesson plans, student records, and other administrative documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and online learning protocols.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school's teaching and learning processes.

• An undergraduate degree (NQF Level 6) in Education or Mathematics.
• Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or B. Education in Intermediate or Intersen Phase.
• Registration with the South African Council for Educators (SACE).
• Police clearance certificate.
• 2 5 years' teaching experience, preferably with online or blended learning exposure.
• Strong digital literacy and proficiency with online learning platforms.
• First Aid certification is an advantage.
