We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading automotive training centre in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, seeking an experienced Automotive Technical Trainer. This is a unique opportunity for skilled vehicle technicians to transition from the workshop environment into a rewarding training role with a reputable organisation. The Automotive Technical Trainer will be instrumental in delivering technical training across the UK, working from a modern, purpose-built facility.

Duties:

  • Develop and deliver technical training programmes to dealer network technicians across the UK

  • Support the manufacturer's product range through expert training sessions

  • Design engaging training materials and deliver presentations, utilising PowerPoint and other tools

  • Conduct practical training at the centre and on external sites when required

  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve training content and delivery standards

  • Support the technical development of staff and contribute to maintaining high training standards


Requirements for theAutomotive Technical Trainer position:

  • Extensive knowledge of modern vehicle technology, ideally including trucks or commercial vehicles

  • Hands-on experience in vehicle repair, maintenance, or relevant qualifications

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of motivating learners

  • Strong organisational skills to manage training schedules effectively

  • Confident presenter, comfortable delivering engaging presentations

  • Current UK driving licence; passport required for occasional European travel

  • An interest in professional development and continuous improvement of training programmes
