Job Description
We are a leading automotive supplier specializing in the design and industrialization of plastic components to contribute to quality, innovation, and sustainable mobility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main technical liaison with the customer from requirements to Start of Production (SOP).
- Perform part analyses, DFMEAs, and lead design reviews.
- Present prototype designs to secure customer approval.
- Prepare CAD modifications and drive mold updates with mold makers.
- Monitor KPIs (budget hours, CNQ, PRU, cycle-time convergence).
- Manage validation plans in collaboration with labs.
- Implement action items from technical reviews and maintain progress.
- Provide monthly dashboards to the Customer Engineering Director.
Highly Valued:
- Knowledge of bumpers or similar products.
- Familiarity with FMEA, IATF 16949, PPAP, and OPTIMAP work packages.
- Track record managing KPIs like CNQ, budget hours, PRU convergence.
Essential Profile:
- Education: Degree in Mechanical Design / Design Engineering (Técnico en diseño mecánico o Ingeniería de Diseño).
- Languages: English C1 - daily communication with suppliers & clients.
- Software: CATIA V5, MS Office, Project Management tools.
- Experience: Extensive in plastic parts design/development for automotive.
- Technical Know How: Plastic components design rules, molds, injection, and measurement in control fixtures.
- Personal Skills: Leadership, synthesis skills, organizational rigor, and excellent communicator.
