Automation Tester (UI), £400 per day inside IR35

Bench IT require an experienced Automation Tester (UI) to join a large organisation starting ASAP working remotely. The successful UI Automation Tester should have the skills and experience included below.

The position will be working 2-3 days per week in central London

Skills required of Automation Tester:

• Strong experience with UI test automation using tools such as Selenium and/or Playwright
• Proficiency in C#, Java, Python, or another major programming language used for automation frameworks
• Hands-on experience in test framework design and maintenance (eg, BDD frameworks such as SpecFlow, Cucumber, or Reqnroll)
• Experience testing and validating structured data formats - XML, JSON, CSV, etc.
• Familiarity with XPath, JSONPath, and schema validation techniques
• Experience with REST API testing using tools or libraries such as Postman, Playwright API fixtures, or other HTTP client frameworks
• Knowledge of version control systems (eg, Git, GitHub, Azure Repos)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (eg, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Experience using test management tools such as Zephyr, Jira, TestRail, or Azure Test Plans
• Ability to link automated tests to requirements or user stories for traceability
• Experience generating and interpreting test execution reports
• Familiarity with defect management workflows and agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.)
• Understanding of software development life cycles and agile delivery practices
• Good understanding of risk-based testing and test design techniques
