AUTOMATION TEST ENGINEER
(PLAYWRIGHT)
UP TO £48k - (1-2x MONTHLY IN MANCHESTER)
One of the UK's leading SaaS vendors with nearly £1 billion revenue is looking for an Automation Test Engineer to join their massively expanding software engineering function.
Over the past 3 years, they have brought their tech function in-house, and as a Software Tester, you will be working closely with the wider engineering team as they build out a brand new greenfield customer and client-facing platform which will be utilized by clients ranging from NHS, major logistics firms, public safety, and retail (and millions of their employees!).
They have a small existing QA function, who are integrated with the development team. However, due to the speed and velocity of new work that the teams are creating, they are in need of an Automation Test Engineer to help support the build of their products, which are used by millions across the UK.
As a business, they are remote first, with the team only in Manchester once a month.
You'll be a good fit for this if:
- You have strong experience in manual and automation testing
- Proven experience in building automation testing frameworks utilizing .NET and automation tools with a focus on Playwright and Selenium WebDriver. All their work is cloud-first utilizing Azure.
- You're experienced working in an agile team with activities such as creating test scenarios, UI testing, test cases, applying risk analysis, and coordinating test efforts within the team
- Importantly you'll be a highly adaptable team player! Able to problem-solve on multiple projects whilst gaining great experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a tech-focused business with the funding and backing to support your career as an Automation Test Engineer. You'll get support on qualifications, hands-on training, and upskilling in all areas as you progress with the client.
What's in it for you?
- Salary up to £50k
- Annual Bonus
- Remote working (must be commutable to Manchester 1-2x a month)
- Huge training budget!
You'll be working in a very easy-going environment with a great family feel. Plenty of autonomy and flexibility; they want to create an environment where you'll work best, whether from home or from the office. Given the company has some big plans in the next years to come, there are also some great progression prospects within.
Interview process is very quick - 30 min chat with the CTO followed by a 1-hour technical call with the team (no tech tests!).
