Autism Specialist Teacher

A highly supportive SEN school in Sunderland is seeking an Autism Specialist Teacher to join their expanding team from September.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured and engaging lessons
• Support sensory and communication strategies
• Create predictable routines and safe learning environments
• Encourage emotional regulation and independence
• Support pupils with social interaction and confidence-building
• Collaborate with Speech and Language Therapists and other SEN professionals

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism and SEN
• Strong understanding of differentiated teaching strategies
• Calm, patient and nurturing approach
• Commitment to inclusive and child centred education
