OverviewGallagher Ireland are part of the Arthur J Gallagher Group, one of the largest insurance brokerages in the world. We are now seeking to recruit a Commercial Lines Insurance Audit Specialist, on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
The Commercial Lines Audit Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality service and compliance within the Commercial Lines Insurance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed audits of commercial insurance policies to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with client needs. This role involves reviewing policy documents, verifying premiums, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve discrepancies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial insurance products, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

How you'll make an impactAs Commercial Lines Insurance Audit Specialist you will provide critical support to the Compliance Team ensuring that key compliance and commercial department functions are carried out, accurately, effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive audits of commercial insurance policies, endorsements, new business and renewals to ensure accuracy and compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Identify and report any discrepancies, errors, or areas for improvement in processes or documentation.
- Prepare detailed audit reports, summarising findings and recommendations
- Provide clear explanations of audit results
- Support the development and implementation of best practices for audit processes.
- Assist in the implementation of corrective actions and process improvements.
- Ensure all audits comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Identify potential risks or gaps in coverage and recommend corrective actions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in commercial insurance auditing.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide recommendations for enhancing customer service and operational processes.
- Act as a point of contact for queries related to audit and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of, audits, and corrective actions.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and standards related to Commercial lines insurance.
- Fostering a workplace environment where compliance is valued and integrated into daily operations.
- Experience of working within a regulated environment
- Compliance qualifications LCI, or working towards same
- A recognised qualification in General Insurance - CIP or working towards same
- Confident communicator
- Experience with Applied Relay
- Ability to discreetly handle confidential and highly sensitive information
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of general insurance (Ireland) products, services
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with insurance management systems.
- Demonstrates a high degree of organisation and self-management
- Comfortable working autonomously and across multiple tasks
