An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Audit Manager to join a highly regarded and growing accountancy firm.This is a great opportunity for someone looking for more autonomy, responsibility and progression, while retaining a genuinely flexible approach to work. You will manage a varied portfolio of clients, lead audit assignments and work closely with senior colleagues and Partners, while playing an important role in developing junior members of the team.

The role

You will be responsible for:

• Managing a varied portfolio of audit clients
• Leading audits from planning through to completion
• Managing workflow, budgets and profitability across your portfolio
• Building strong, long-term relationships with clients
• Reviewing work and providing technical guidance to the wider team
• Coaching and developing junior members of staff
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and corporation tax computations where required
• Supporting Partners with wider client and business development activity

What we're looking for

You will ideally be ACA/ACCA qualified with:

• Strong audit experience gained within an accountancy practice
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients and multiple assignments
• Good knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
• Experience supervising, coaching or mentoring junior staff
• Strong communication and client relationship skills
