Job Description

Our client is a highly regarded and well-established accountancy practice based in South Dublin. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager / Senior Accountant to join their friendly, collaborative, and supportive team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a practice-trained qualified accountant who enjoys a varied role encompassing audit, accounts preparation, tax compliance, and client advisory services. The successful candidate will work closely with a diverse portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients while playing a key role in delivering outstanding accounting and compliance solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a varied portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for accounting, compliance, and business support matters.
  • Lead and manage audit assignments for larger clients, overseeing engagements from planning through to completion while ensuring compliance with professional standards.
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts, statutory financial statements, and management reports.
  • Provide outsourced accounting support to a key client, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Oversee a broad range of tax compliance activities, including VAT, Corporation Tax, and Income Tax returns.
  • Ensure all client deadlines are met while maintaining the highest standards of service delivery and technical accuracy.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to add value through proactive advice and support.
Key Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA qualified Chartered Accountant.
  • Minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience within an accountancy practice environment.
  • Strong experience in accounts preparation and client portfolio management.
  • Proven exposure to audit assignments, with the ability to manage audits from planning through to completion.
  • Experience preparing management accounts and tax returns across a range of client sectors.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and project coordination skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
  • Previous experience working with SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
