Dataminr's Domain Experts work with our AI platform in real time ensuring the alerts and intelligence we send to clients are of the highest possible quality. Domain Experts use deep human expertise to examine, analyze our data feeds, and annotate, label, and edit signals in real time. They are an integral part of our algorithm training process and advanced real time human AI feedback loop that integrates key knowledge domains into our AI models.
This role is open as remote in the United Kingdom or Ireland or hybrid. It requires core hours of 7:00 am-3:00 pm GMT and includes rotational weekend work, as well as projects and meetings outside normal business hours.
Responsibilities- Serve as an expert on the Middle East and North Africa, monitoring and analyzing geopolitical developments and relevant data sources to improve AI models.
- Monitor and analyze the quality of data feeds.
- Annotate and label complex real time events, making decisions with incomplete data.
- Own and develop projects to enhance performance of AI models and tooling in real time event detection.
- Collaborate and communicate about daily priorities in a team centric environment.
- Bachelor's degree required, ideally in political science, Middle Eastern studies, security/conflict studies, or a closely related field.
- Strong online research skills in Arabic and English; proficiency in Farsi, Hebrew, or Turkish is a plus.
- Understanding of geopolitical risk and world events, coupled with a passion for breaking news, technology, social media, and publicly available data.
- Ability to interpret and succinctly describe ongoing, complex events with incomplete data.
- Fluency with AI tools and LLMs, and experience using them to solve problems and improve workflows.
- Enthusiastic approach to innovation and strategic thinking.
- Ideally, previous experience working in a real time information environment.
