Associate Director, Cost Management

The Opportunity

As Associate Director (Cost Management), you will be involved in:

• Leading a cost management team in the commercial and residential sector, ensuring that you deliver a high-quality service to our clients (Pre Contract and Post Contract).
• Reviewing and signing off on service deliverables prior to issuance to clients & maintain a high level of quality control.
• Client facing roles including managing & maintaining strong client relationships.
• Using your business development skills to engage new clients as well as repeat projects with existing clients
• Overseeing key strategic client projects.
• Identifying and acting upon cross-selling opportunities
• Attending relevant networking events and other promotional opportunities
• Staff management - inputting into the formal management of staff and recruitment interviews
• Undertaking staff performance reviews
• Participating in Bid proposals including drafting resource schedules and utilizing the company's financial tools in preparing fee quotations.
• Financial management - utilizing the tools provided and keep track of the ongoing margin levels and monthly fee/resource forecasts for each project.

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Have strong cost management experience in a dynamic environment
• Have 10+ years pre and post contract experience in the relevant sectors
• Have the required competency to client face and lead commercial meetings.
• Have the required ability to lead and mentor a team.
• Have a degree or comparable experience in a cost management or quantity surveying
• Are chartered and ideally a member of the SCSI/ RICS
• Are an excellent communicator verbally and in writing
• Thrive on building strong relationships with your team and clients through a shared purpose and sense of openness and fun.
