Fortivum is seeking an Associate Director - Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale mission critical / data centre projects across Europe.
This is a senior project leadership role responsible for managing complex projects from concept through construction, commissioning, and handover. The successful candidate will act as the primary client interface, providing leadership across design, procurement, and construction phases while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
In addition to direct project leadership, the role includes mentoring project teams, supporting commercial performance, and contributing to the growth of Fortivum's project delivery capability.
The position is Dublin-based, with travel to European client sites as required.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale data centre / mission-critical projects.
- Act as the lead Project Manager, accountable for programme, cost, quality, and risk performance.
- Develop and manage Project Execution Plans (PEP), delivery strategies, and governance frameworks.
- Drive coordination across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Primary point of contact for clients, ensuring strong communication and trusted advisory support.
- Lead project governance meetings, progress reviews, and executive reporting.
- Support client decision-making through technical, commercial, and delivery advice.
- Maintain responsibility for project budgets, cost control, and commercial performance.
- Support procurement strategies, tender evaluations, and contract management activities.
- Monitor programme delivery and proactively address schedule risks and delivery challenges.
- Ensure projects meet statutory, client, and Fortivum governance standards.
- Maintain oversight of project documentation, compliance trackers, and reporting structures.
- Support successful construction delivery, commissioning, and operational readiness.Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Managers, Engineers, and junior team members.
- Promote a culture of delivery excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes and best practices.
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- 10-15 years' experience delivering complex construction or infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience acting as lead Project Manager on major capital projects.
- Strong commercial awareness, managing project budgets, contracts, and procurement processes.
- Experience working in a client-side or consultancy project delivery environment is highly desirable.
- Professional accreditation such as Chartered Engineer, PMP, or equivalent is advantageous.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across complex project environments.
- Willingness to travel across Europe as required.
