Job Description

This role is for an Associate Assistant Headteacher - Behaviour, Attendance & Culture (DDSL) in Colchester. Salary: £57,137 - £61,534 per annum. Start in September.

Location: Colchester

Responsibilities

Lead behaviour, attendance and school culture, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA), and those accessing alternative education through referral pathways. Working alongside the senior leadership team, drive school improvement, champion inclusive practice and build strong relationships with families and external agencies to secure the very best outcomes for every pupil.

Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven leadership experience within a school, Alternative Provision or SEND environment
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, EBSA and complex behavioural needs
  • Excellent knowledge of behaviour management, restorative practice and safeguarding
  • Experience working collaboratively with external agencies including Social Care, CAMHS, Local Authorities and SEND services
  • Outstanding communication, leadership and organisational skills with a commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable learners
