What you'll do

In this role, you will:

  • Develop a broad and interesting caseload, including commercial contractual disputes, shareholder and corporate disputes, matters for private equity owned portfolio companies, and some exposure to media and reputation management work, with the objective of having a more focused practice as you progress
  • Be advising clients of varying size and complexity and working with inhouse legal teams, acting for clients in both claimant and defendant roles
  • Focus on your client relationship building skills from the outset, ensuring you have plenty of opportunity to spend time getting know our clients
  • If you're enthusiastic about business development - both for the team and the firm more widely - we will actively support and encourage you to engage in profile building and networking activities from the outset

What we're looking for

We're seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and brings:

  • Experience of working on a variety of commercial litigation matters in a similar or larger sized firm, you may be a Trainee Solicitor looking for an NQ role or Associate looking for the next step in your career, seeking to work with larger and more complex clients
  • You will be used to working with larger companies on commercial litigation matters and have a good awareness of the kinds of issues which can arise, with particular aptitude for analysing complex legal matters and giving direct, outcomes-focussed advice in plain English.
