Job Description
Our Client, a Merseyside council is seeking an Assistant Team Manager to join their Early Help Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
- Provide supervision, guidance, and support to Early Help practitioners, ensuring high-quality practice and professional development
- Oversee and review Early Help Assessments and intervention plans, ensuring timely and effective support for children and families
- Support the Team Manager with case allocation, workload management, and day-to-day operational oversight
- Monitor safeguarding risks, offering advice on thresholds and escalating concerns where necessary
- Deputise for the Team Manager in their absence, including leading team meetings and making operational decisions
- Promote effective multi-agency working with partners such as schools, health, and voluntary services
- Conduct audits and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and best practice
- Track team performance and outcomes, ensuring accurate recording and adherence to service targets
Requirements of this role:
- Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England
- Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying social work experience
