Job Title: Assistant Surveying Technician
Salary: £25,798 per annum plus essential car user allowance
Location: Stafford/Telford
Hours: 36 hours per week

About the RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Surveying Technician to join our Property team. We're looking for a motivated and customer focused individual who is keen to develop their career within property and surveying services. If you enjoy working in a fast paced environment, have excellent organisational skills, and want to play a key role in improving customers' homes, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing- Support the delivery and performance of planned maintenance and investment works programmes.
- Assist Building Surveyors in the management and coordination of contracts and projects.
- Contribute to the effective planning and administration of planned repairs and maintenance activities.
- Help ensure works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Coordinate activities from the initial receipt of property information through to completion of works, ensuring a positive customer experience throughout.
- Maintain accurate records and update property and housing management systems.
- Liaise with customers, contractors, and colleagues to support the successful delivery of projects.
- Take ownership of individual tasks and responsibilities that contribute to the overall success of the Property Team.
- Experience supporting the delivery of planned maintenance or investment programmes.
- Experience providing administrative support within a busy, customer focused environment.
- Experience of working as part of a project team.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good communication skills and a customer focused approach.
- BTEC Level 3 in Construction and the Built Environment or a related qualification.
- Experience working within a construction environment, ideally within social housing.
- Experience using property management, asset management, or housing related ICT systems.
- Understanding of building components and property maintenance.
- Knowledge of planned maintenance and investment programmes within housing services.
