About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Surveying Technician to join our Property team. We're looking for a motivated and customer focused individual who is keen to develop their career within property and surveying services. If you enjoy working in a fast paced environment, have excellent organisational skills, and want to play a key role in improving customers' homes, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

• Support the delivery and performance of planned maintenance and investment works programmes.
• Assist Building Surveyors in the management and coordination of contracts and projects.
• Contribute to the effective planning and administration of planned repairs and maintenance activities.
• Help ensure works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Coordinate activities from the initial receipt of property information through to completion of works, ensuring a positive customer experience throughout.
• Maintain accurate records and update property and housing management systems.
• Liaise with customers, contractors, and colleagues to support the successful delivery of projects.
• Take ownership of individual tasks and responsibilities that contribute to the overall success of the Property Team.

What we are looking for Essential

• Experience supporting the delivery of planned maintenance or investment programmes.
• Experience providing administrative support within a busy, customer focused environment.
• Experience of working as part of a project team.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Good communication skills and a customer focused approach.

Desirable

• BTEC Level 3 in Construction and the Built Environment or a related qualification.
• Experience working within a construction environment, ideally within social housing.
• Experience using property management, asset management, or housing related ICT systems.
• Understanding of building components and property maintenance.
• Knowledge of planned maintenance and investment programmes within housing services.
