Cameron Mackintosh Ltd are looking for a talented Assistant Stage Manager (Book Cover) for the London production of Oliver! at the Gielgud Theatre.
We are recruiting candidates from all levels of musical book calling with proven knowledge of large-scale productions.

Key Responsibilities- Help the Stage Manager and Deputy Stage Manager coordinate the efficient management and maintenance of the stage management department
- Assist in any preparation for the Production
- Assist with the maintenance of paperwork necessary for its smooth running
- Being responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all set elements and props
- Ensure that relevant rehearsal notes and production meeting notes are actioned
- Acting on any show report notes and reporting any issues to the Production Manager
- Be prepared to teach or learn any show plots when necessary
- Assist with cast changes as required in conjuncture with the Technical Production department
- Once trained by the Deputy Stage Manager, within the ASM Book Cover team, cueing the Production in a consistent and accurate manner, upholding the creative intent
- Acting as cover for the Deputy Stage Manager during holidays and unforeseen absences with regards to the calling of the show
- Assist with ensuring the company's welfare and checking that Health and Safety regulations are met in both rehearsals and the theatre
- Provide accurate time sheets on a weekly basis
- Attend meetings or training courses as required
- Ensure that, with the Production Manager, the Company Manager, Stage Manager and Deputy Stage Manager, the continuing integrity of the company and smooth running of performances throughout the Production's life
- Attend promotional events such as publicity and photographic calls, press and media interviews and press junkets
- Have a good knowledge of the Producer's health and safety policies and ensure that requirements in relation to health and safety are met within the department
- Uphold and promote at all times the Manager's Child Protection Policy and related procedures and guidelines
- Comply with the Producer's policies and procedures in force from time to time, including but not limited to the Producer's policies on Equal Opportunities, Bullying and Harassment, Safeguarding, Social Media, Data Protection
- Undertake any other reasonable duties asked for by the Producer
