We are currently seeking a passionate and highly skilled Assistant Sommelier. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for food and wine pairings offering clients an unforgettable experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of wine service throughout Service including our Fine Dining Restaurant
• Ensure weekly wine orders are placed, and stock levels are maintained.
• Further develop the house wine list to reflect 5 standards, focusing on quality and variety.
• Stay up to date with the menus to provide the best wine pairings for each dish.
• Maintain and develop the wine cellar, ensuring optimal storage and inventory control.
• Work efficiently and ensure that guest needs are met in a timely manner.
• Assist the Food & Beverage team with staff training and development.
• Ensure wine service standards are consistently upheld while seeking opportunities for improvement.

Ideal Candidate

• 1-2 years' sommelier experience, preferably within a 5 Hotel OR Michelin Restaurant setting. Advanced certification in wine studies (Master Sommelier, certified Sommelier) Strongly preferred.
• Strong expertise in food and wine pairings and the ability to make expert recommendations.
• Passion for food and service, with a drive for innovation.
