Contract: Permanent, part time (14 hours over 2 days)

More about the role

Using your experience in retail management/leadership, you will work with our Shop Manager and local community to drive forward sales and source quality fashion, accessories and homeware from donations to regenerate and find a new home. The store needs someone who understands the local community, can build a solid customer base, and network with generous donors. Every item sold helps fund our vital work supporting sick, injured, and homeless pets. You will guide volunteers in creating a friendly, welcoming shopping experience, mentor new volunteers, and provide quality customer service to both purchasers and donors.

Applicants may be current team leaders or experienced managers seeking a new challenge. The shop operates Monday Saturday 09 00, and your normal working pattern may change each week to meet the needs of the business, including weekends and bank holidays. Flexibility and support for additional holiday or sickness cover are essential.

About you

You will have:

• Previous experience working in a retail environment
• Cash handling and reconciliation experience
• Experience of leading a team
• Experience of providing a great customer experience
• Computer and administration skills

It would also be great if you had:

• Experience in charity retail or social enterprises
• Strong knowledge of merchandising and visual presentation
• Ability to motivate volunteers and staff
