Our client, a leading Further Education provider in South East London, is seeking an experienced and inspiring Assistant Principal to provide strategic leadership across its 16-19 curriculum provision. This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive leadership team during a period of growth and sector transformation.

Key responsibilities
  • Leading the strategic development of Study Programmes across multiple campuses
  • Driving outstanding teaching, learning and assessment outcomes
  • Supporting curriculum innovation aligned to local and regional skills needs
  • Leading quality improvement, performance management and inspection readiness
  • Overseeing English, maths and tutorial provision
  • Managing staffing, budgets and resources effectively
  • Developing employer engagement and commercially focused provision
  • Championing safeguarding, inclusion and student voice
  • Using performance data to drive continuous improvement and learner success
Required qualifications
  • Significant leadership experience within Further Education or a comparable educational environment
  • Proven curriculum planning and quality improvement expertise
  • Strong understanding of FE funding, qualifications and compliance frameworks
  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • Degree-level education
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Excellent communication, leadership and analytical skills
  • Experience managing and developing high performing teams
