Job Description
Our client, apublic sector organisation, is seeking an experiencedAssistant Principal - HR Consultantto provide senior advisory and operational support acrossPeople & Culture, Facilities and Corporate Servicesduring a maternity leave period. Working closely with the Principal Officer, the successful candidate will providestrategic HR advice, governance oversight and operational continuity. While the role does not involve formal line management, it will require providingguidance and professional support to HR staff and senior management. 
URGENT REQUIREMENT
Location: Dublin 2, hybrid 3 days onsite - 2 days WFH
Contract: 8month maternity leave cover approx.
Level:Assistant Principal Equivalent
Salary:€82,290 pro rata
Key Responsibilities
- Providesenior HR advisory supportto senior management on employee relations, disciplinary, grievance and workplace issues.
- SupportPeople & Culture team, including leading weekly team meetings and providing oversight of HR initiatives and priorities.
- Provide advice onrecruitment and workforce planning, including reviewing job descriptions and participating in interview panels.
- SupportHR governance and reporting, including preparing updates for senior management and Board reporting.
- Provide advisory support toFacilities and Corporate Services, including engagement with the Facilities Manager on operational matters.
- Supportbudget monitoringand review expenditure for the relevant functions.
- Review HR policies and ensure alignment withpublic sector governance and employment legislation.
- Provide oversight ofprobation and performance management (PMDS)processes.
Experience Required
- Significant experience operating at asenior HR advisory level (Assistant Principal equivalent).
- Strong ability to engage withsenior stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Strong experience managingcomplex employee relations cases.
- Experience within thepublic sector, a statutory body or regulated environment.
