Job Description
Assistant Manager - Full Time 
We are looking to recruit a new Assistant Manager for our shop in Stamfordham Road, Newcastle upon Tyne. The role is permanent, full time, and includes a variety of shifts 5 days per week, usually including at least one weekend shift.
- Hours: 43 hours across 5 days per week.
- Pay: £31,449.60 - £32,648.16 per annum on a 43 hour contract.

- Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide excellent customer service.
- Develop your team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and feedback.
- Act as shop manager in their absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly and routines maintain a safe, clean, tidy shop.
- Motivate and guide your team to control operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
- Support recruitment and induction of new team members.
- Friendly, positive, hard working attitude.
- Excellent people skills and ability to build strong working relationships.
- Trustworthy and reliable, able to support a small team and meet customer expectations.
- Experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
- Required to complete a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland) if hired; employment is subject to a satisfactory check.
