Job Description
Assistant Manager - Full Time
We are looking to recruit a new Assistant Manager for our shop in Handsworth, Birmingham. This is a permanent full time position covering 43 hours per week over five days, with a flexible schedule that includes at least one weekend shift per week.
Pay & BenefitsSalary: £31,449.60 - £32,648.16 per annum for a 43 hour contract.

- Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to customers.
- Develop and coach the team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and feedback.
- Act as the lead in the shop manager's absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly, and shop routines are completed for a safe, clean and tidy shop.
- Motivate and guide the team to control operational costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
- Support recruitment and induction of new team members.
- Friendly, positive, hard working approach.
- People person with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Trustworthy and reliable, able to perform to the best of your ability at all times.
- Previous experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
- Successful completion of a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland).
