Assistant Manager

Assistant Manager - Full Time

Hours: 43 hours across 5 days per week.

Pay: £31,449.60 - £35,306.88 per annum (43 hour contract).

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide great service to customers.
• Develop team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and feedback.
• Act as shop manager in their absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries processed quickly and shop routines maintained.
• Motivate and guide team to control operational costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Support shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.

• People person, strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Trustworthy and reliable; dependable in a small team.
• Experience as manager, team leader or supervisor.
• Complete Employment Verification and a Basic DBS (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check if required.
