Job Description
Assistant Manager - Full Time

Hours: 43 hours across 5 days per week. Pay: £31,449 - £35,306 per annum. Benefits: 6 weeks holiday, 15% staff discount, staff benefits package, and more!

We are looking to recruit a new Assistant Manager for our shop in Woodseats, Sheffield. We offer a permanent full time position working a variety of shifts, usually including at least one weekend shift.

Please note that for full time positions we will generally require you to be fully flexible in your availability for work throughout the week, including weekends.

Pay & Benefits

The salary offered for this position is between £31,449.60 and £35,306.88 per annum on a 43 hour contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to our customers.
  • Be responsible for the development of your team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and providing feedback.
  • Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager and ensure that customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
  • Motivate and guide your team to control operational costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
  • Support the shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Friendly, positive, hardworking approach to work.
  • People person who easily builds strong working relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Trustworthy and reliable, playing a key role in a small team.
  • Some experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
  • Ability to complete an Employment Verification check and a Basic DBS (or Disclosure Scotland) check if successful and offered the advertised position.
