Assistant Manager - Full Time

Hours: 43 hours across 5 days per week.

Pay: £31,449-£35,306 per annum.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to customers.
• Be responsible for the development of your team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and feedback.
• Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager and ensure customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
• Motivate and guide your team to control operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Support the shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.

Requirements

• A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• A people person who finds it easy to get on with everyone and build strong working relationships.
• Trustworthy and reliable, dependable to the small team and customers.
• Some experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
• Will complete an Employment Verification check and a Basic DBS (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check if offered the position. Checks will be sent via email and confirm previous employment history and convictions.
